ABOUT MARNIE WEBSTER, Children's Illustrator and Giftware
Designer
Marnie Webster is a freelance illustrator. She was fortunate
to travel to Bologna, Italy in 1998 to attend the Bologna
Children's Fair. While there, she made a contact with WJ Fantasy.
Since then Marnie has illustrated for them many advent calendars
and block sets, including Noah's Ark, a set of Victorian doll
house stacking blocks and a circus wagon box.
Her book, 'In Grandma Rita's Garden' was published with
Richard C. Owen in 2005. Another of Marnie's books, 'The Much
Too Loved Quilt' written by Rachel Waterstone (First Story
Press, 2001), is about a lesson learned as a special quilt
made by one classroom is changed as each person takes their
turn bringing the quilt home.
When Marnie was a young girl, her grandma (or GG as she was
affectionately known) taught her to sew. Marnie has always
carried that love with her and enjoys creating her own dolls,
doll houses, puppets and wooden toys. If you are looking for
a unique gift for someone special, Marnie would be happy to
sit with you and discuss the possibilities.
